Senior Spotlight: Keilani DeSilva Brandeis High School Class of 2025

Hard work, resilience, and big dreams define Keilani’s high school journey. As a senior at Brandeis High School, she has excelled both on and off the court, balancing academics, athletics, and community service with determination and heart.

Keilani is a dedicated athlete, playing on the Varsity basketball team while also staying active in her school’s Helping the Homeless club, where she regularly volunteers at the San Antonio Food Bank. Even with a demanding schedule, she has remained near the top of her class, proving that success comes from both passion and perseverance. One of her proudest achievements? Fully recovering from an ACL tear and getting back in the game stronger than ever.

Her love for basketball and helping others has fueled her dream of becoming a physical therapist. She’ll be taking the next big step toward that goal at the University of Texas at Austin, where she plans to major in Biology.

During her session, as I watched Keilani confidently step in front of the camera—strong, accomplished, and ready for the future—I couldn’t help but think of a line from Taylor Swift:

“I had the time of my life fighting dragons with you.” – Long Live

Keilani has faced challenges head-on, fought through setbacks, and come out stronger on the other side. Her story is one of perseverance, passion, and purpose, and it’s clear she’s ready to take on whatever comes next.

Her senior session at the San Antonio Riverwalk was one to remember—especially since the cold morning temperatures added an unexpected twist to the experience! Despite the chill, Keilani embraced the moment, making it even more special.

As she prepares to graduate, Keilani is filled with gratitude for the journey so far and excitement for what’s ahead. I have no doubt she will continue to thrive and inspire, both on and off the court.
