Alaura's Inspiring Senior Journey
We’re thrilled to feature Alaura in our Senior Spotlight! A proud member of the Class of 2025 at Pieper High School, Alaura is a multi-talented, driven, and passionate individual with a bright future ahead.
Alaura’s hobbies and interests are as dynamic as her personality. She enjoys swimming, creating art, playing the violin or double bass, and spending quality time with her sisters and her dog, Shade. These activities not only bring her joy but also highlight her creativity and dedication to her passions.
At school and in the community, Alaura is deeply involved. She’s been part of the varsity swim team since her freshman year and also competes in the Alamo Area Aquatic Association swim club and the Timberwood Park summer league for her neighborhood. Her athleticism doesn’t stop there—she’s played on the varsity tennis team for over two years and has competed with the varsity water polo team for two years.
Alaura’s musical talents are equally impressive. She’s played violin in her high school’s honors/varsity orchestra since freshman year, demonstrating incredible commitment to her craft. Last year, she showcased her versatility by playing double bass in the concert orchestra, and this year, she’s elevated her skills by joining the philharmonic orchestra for bass.
One of Alaura’s proudest accomplishments is balancing her many athletic and musical endeavors while maintaining excellent grades—a testament to her strong work ethic and time management skills.
After graduation, Alaura plans to pursue her passions in both swimming and music at Randolph College in Lynchburg, Virginia. There, she’ll study marine sciences while continuing to swim and play in the orchestra.
Alaura finds inspiration in the song Sour Patch Kids by Bryce Vine and loves sharing fun facts about herself—like the fact that she’s learned to play four different instruments!
Reflecting on her senior portrait session, Alaura shared, “I truly enjoyed my photo session with Elizabeth. The photos turned out beautiful. High school isn’t without many challenges, but I am successfully getting through it. I am looking forward to college.”
One particularly memorable moment from the her portrait session? “It started raining while we were outside, and I was wearing my prom dress and holding my violin!”
We’re so excited to see all the amazing things Alaura will accomplish in the future. Congratulations, Alaura, on all your hard work and achievements!
Alaura selected our ELEVATED Senior Portrait Session which includes 3 outfits at the Artistic Images Studio & Portrait Garden.
She chose to add a second location as a session upgrade.
We began the session with indoor Studio shots, then moved outside to utilize several areas of the Portrait Garden including our Garden Wall, both Flower Swings, White Porch, Garden Path, and Rock Wall.
We ended our session at Alaura's home swimming pool.
